About
Planning is critical to success in every facet of our lives. Cultural planning offers an opportunity for communities to create a roadmap unique to their needs, aspirations and strengths. By planning strategically, local governments and art groups can work together to integrate arts and culture more fully into their community
Culture and creative industries are one of the fastest growing economic sectors worldwide, contributing an increasingly significant portion towards government revenues. The role of Cultural research, which seeks to understand and seek out the cultural and creative talents within communities, has thus become very important in planning for the long-term social and economic development of urban cities.
The aim of the cultural research undertaken sought to understand the community, by investigating its skills, strengths, challenges, opportunities and dreams in an attempt to understand its unique identity, personality and culture.
The research findings will shape the strategies of the City in its urban planning and design of the area and be a source of information to its various relevant stakeholders.
